Living On Land

Living On Land

In 2018 we stayed on land for a while longer than planned. We were on call for our aging parents and found plenty of restoration projects on the boat to keep us busy while waiting. After we splashed the boat, it quickly became clear that the life of sailing with wind, waves and seasons didn’t work with that of elderly care, so we decided to move back on land for a while.

Here we are and eager to try our simply living lifestyle on land. We found a home sitting opportunity in rural Portugal the owner plans to turn into a sustainable farm and off-grid home. For now it needs the care of passionate sustainabilists like us and a bit of landscaping and gardening, some maintenance and, in the future, animal and pet care.

Until we will arrive at our new home in October and start blogging about simply living on land, we mounted in this section posts about sustainability, travel impressions (teaser pix below) and thoughts about living in general.

Stay tuned here for our sustainable living adventure back on land!
