Project Cruiser’s life 05: Leslie + Andrew Godfrey on SV Sonrisa

05. Interview with Leslie & Andrew Godfrey on SV Sonrisa/USA.

Right out of college, Leslie & Andrew devised a ten-year plan to prepare for their sail around the world. They stuck to this plan, which included learning how to sail, saving enough money, finding the right boat and outfitting it to their needs. We met and interviewed them on SV Sonrisa in San Diego, just days before they sailed away, in February of 2016.

Here is the link to their blog www.oddgodfrey.com.

This is the 5th in a series of interviews with full time cruisers about their life, the reality of cruising, their experiences and dreams. When we started thinking about sailing around the world, we searched the internet for information on how it really is and we took every chance we got to talk to sailors and cruisers. While we were outfitting our boat in a marina in San Diego, we filmed our first interviews and continued after we cut the lines. The 11 questions frame what we wanted to know. We hope you find the information valuable and inspirational.
